Contentment or Resentment? Contented Couple Scale

Your partner is the perfect mirror who reflects back who you are and what you give in the relationship. When we find ourselves taking an inventory of our partner’s defects, it is a sign that we are avoiding responsibility for what we have created and brought out in our partner. Although you may not be able to change our partner’s character, you can change the present and future quality of your relationship. You can turn resentment into contentment. The qualities that sustain an lively, loving, healthy, intimate relationship over time are not the fancy vacations or splashy presents. Rather, love is enlivened and sustained by the small, repeated kindnesses that cost little in money or time but a great deal in terms of effort and thoughtfulness.
