Our Commitment To Privacy

Our Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest-quality products and services with the highest level of integrity in communicating with you. The Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services. This statement will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customers' needs.

Information Collected By FamilyIQ

When you visit our web site you may provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and web site useage collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our web site.

Personal Information You Choose To Provide

In order to experience the full benefit that FamilyIQ offers such as FamilyIQ courses, premium content, tools and services, we ask you to register to become a member. During this member registration process, we will ask you for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, mailing address, zip code, country, and marital status, etc…

FamilyIQ uses the information it gathers for several purposes, such as to understand more about our audience's interests, to communicate with you and to give you a better experience when using and visiting FamilyIQ by personalizing content, courses, services and email messages (more details below.) FamilyIQ also uses this information to offer new courses, content and services, as well as developing offers that FamilyIQ believes are more relevant and valuable to you.

Web Site Information

When you visit FamilyIQ and interact with the services and tools that reside there, FamilyIQ and third parties with whom FamilyIQ has contracted to provide services to FamilyIQ may collect information on your actions. FamilyIQ utilizes a standard technology called "cookies" and your IP address to collect information about how FamilyIQ is used. Information gathered through cookies and your IP address may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our web site, and the web sites visited just before and just after our web site. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.

INFORMATION COLLECTED BY FAMILYIQ THROUGH COOKIES AND IP ADDRESS

Cookies

Our site uses a feature of your browser to set a "cookie" on your computer. Cookies are small packets of information that a site's computer stores on your computer. FamilyIQ can then read the cookies whenever you visit FamilyIQ. The use of cookies on FamilyIQ provides the ability to:

• save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site
• deliver content specific to your interests
• track your progress within a course
• track the pages you've visited

These cookies allow us to use the information we collect to customize your FamilyIQ experience so that your visit to FamilyIQ is as relevant and as valuable to you as possible.

You may modify your browser preference to provide you with choices relating to cookies. You have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject cookies you may be unable to use those FamilyIQ services that require registration in order to participate or will have to login each time you visit FamilyIQ.

IP Address

Your IP address is a number that is assigned by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to your computer to identify its location. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site. We also sometimes use IP addresses to communicate with members and subscribers and possibly even ban those members who are not complying with our Terms of Service.

Use of Information

The majority of information collected by FamilyIQ is used to create aggregated portraits of the FamilyIQ audience, portraits which present anonymous statistical demographic information. This aggregated information is used, among other things, to determine trends and needs, and also to supply market research to potential advertisers and partners to help them understand who the FamilyIQ audience is. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable.

Due to the personal nature of much of the content and services of the site, the information you have provided may be used to help guide to you content, courses, services and products that may server to provide you with a more fulfilling experience while visiting FamilyIQ.

Membership Registration

Many areas of FamilyIQ are reserved for FamilyIQ members only who have registered with us.

How We Protect and Secure Your Information

FamilyIQ has numerous security measures in place to protect you from the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control, including your personal information, course results, personal learning plans, and credit card information. All of your member information requires use of your password. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone.

Information Security

FamilyIQ utilizes encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.

Evaluation of Information Protection Practices. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information.

Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our corporate values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of customer information. Our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.

Information Sharing Policy

FamilyIQ does not sell or otherwise share personally identifiable information with third parties without your consent except in the following instances: (i) unless required by applicable law or pursuant to a court or similar order; (ii) as deemed necessary, in FamilyIQ discretion, to protect the legal rights or the property of FamilyIQ, a member or third party, or to prevent personal injury; and/or (iii) in the event FamilyIQ is required to transfer personally identifiable information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, assignment, joint venture or other transfer or disposition of a portion or all of the assets or stock of FamilyIQ or its affiliated entities (including, without limitation, in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings.) In addition, FamilyIQ reserves the right to allow access to its systems to third parties providing necessary technical services when such access is required in order to provide those services and to provide your personally identifiable information to third parties who provide services on behalf of FamilyIQ, provided that such third parties are bound by FamilyIQ’s Privacy Policy.

Links to non-FIQ Websites

The FIQ website(s) may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the FIQ website. FIQ does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from FIQ's practices. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. The personal data you choose to provide to or that is collected by these third parties is not covered by the FIQ Privacy Statement. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any company before submitting your personal information.

Notice of New Services and Changes

Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to FamilyIQ, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. You will be given the opportunity to notify us of your desire not to receive these offers by clicking on a response box when you receive such an offer or by sending us an email request at support@familyiq.com.

Order Forms and Transaction with E-Commerce Partners

The information provided via the order forms in the FamilyIQ online store is secured via SSL Encryption. The information provided in that order form, as well as the items ordered, will only be shared with the designated fulfillment partner to the extent the information is needed to successfully complete the order and they may not use this information for any other purpose.

E-learning/Course Progress and Results

As a member of FamilyIQ, you will be able to participate in the e-learning and course programs. These programs include taking tests to help measure your progress throughout the course. The results of these tests are stored as part of your member profile and treated with the same level of privacy and security as the rest of your personal data.

Electronic Newsletters and Reminders

FamilyIQ offers free and registered member electronic newsletters on a variety of topics. If you choose to subscribe to any of these newsletters, currently the only information you will be required to provide is a valid email address. Generally, FamilyIQ does not share mailing lists from its electronic newsletters with third parties.

Blogs/Forums and Message Boards

Throughout FamilyIQ, various public forums such as the message boards and question and answer areas are available to you as a registered FamilyIQ member.

Please remember that any information you disclose in these public forum and blog areas becomes public information and is immediately accessible on FamilyIQ, so it is important for you to exercise discretion and appropriate caution when deciding to reveal personal information in these areas. FamilyIQ may decide to utilize in promotions the content of Q&A's, course comments or site comments to enhance FamilyIQ's editorial, advertising and public relations efforts.

Survey and Polls

Our surveys ask for opinions on various issues and very often these surveys and polls are sponsored by or associated with FamilyIQ and partners. Occasionally, we may request demographic information (like zip code, age or gender). Most information obtained through surveys and polls is aggregated and used internally or shared with our partners only in the aggregated form. In the event personally identifiable information is requested as part of surveys or polls about any FamilyIQ member or subscriber, such personally identifiable information is never provided to third parties without your consent. In these instances you may expressly choose to receive information from a sponsor, in which case your information is provided to that sponsor only. Some survey answers may be added to your member profile (so that we can better provide you with content and offers that are most appropriate for you.)

FamilyIQ Opt-In/Opt-Out Policy

Upon registration or from time-to-time, you may be asked to indicate whether you are interested in receiving information from us about special offers or news about our sites and advertisers. You will also be provided with the opportunity to opt-in to receive offers directly from select companies other than FamilyIQ. If you do choose to receive these communications by means of an opt-in, we will occasionally send you an email message that matches your request(s). You may, of course, always choose not to receive any of this information from us. We currently provide the following opt-out opportunities:

However, you cannot currently change your member name, although you may re-register and choose a new name. Please be advised that FamilyIQ currently archives information it collects on its members and visitors.

Privacy Policy Change

We will not make new use of any personally identifiable information which FamilyIQ gathered from individual members or visitors prior to any such significant change in our Privacy Policy without first obtaining the member's or visitor's consent for any new uses. In instances where we ask for your personally identifiable information and we tell you the data we are collecting on that page will be shared with third parties, and in cases where a member, visitor or subscriber to the FamilyIQ opts-in to share his/her information with third parties, those disclosures and opt-ins will override anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy. In addition, FamilyIQ reserves the right to make non-significant changes to our Privacy Policy that will not affect FamilyIQ's use of a user's personally identifiable information at any time without any notice to you other than posting any such changes in a revised Privacy Policy on the FamilyIQ web site. We encourage you to periodically review our Privacy Policy to be sure you are familiar with the most current version. The Policy will include the most recent date in which any revision has been made. If we change our privacy statement, we will post the revised statement here, with an updated revision date.
