Relationship Roles

During the course of a loving relationship, your partner and you take on different roles. These roles are described as Companion, Partner, Giver, and Lover. A fulfilled relationship staves off loneliness, shares goals and responsibilities, is both giving and receptive, and is supportive and spontaneous. Awareness and understanding of what these roles are and their meaning will help your relationship remain fresh, alive, and ultimately, fulfilling.
